The brand of esteemed Motorsports Photography luminary, Jesse Alexander, was propelled into the digital era, merging antiquated analog methods with innovative technology.
This visionary approach commenced with pioneering two interactive photography books for Apple’s bookstore—”Forty Years of Motorsports Photography” and “Speed of Light“—followed by the groundbreaking creation of the “Monaco: The Golden Age of The Grand Prix” fine art book, hailed as a trailblazer in its genre. Every aspect of the project was meticulously handled, including conceptualizing the idea, curating and editing, scanning and retouching the images, designing page layouts and covers, pre-sell fundraising, advertising, packaging, and shipping. A limited run of 1,000 books was printed, which sold out within a few months. Today, the book is highly coveted as a rare and collectible item.
Through meticulous planning and execution, a comprehensive revamp of all marketing channels was orchestrated, transitioning from traditional print to dynamic digital and engaging social media platforms. This effort resulted in an astonishing 12,000% surge in social media followers.
To augment the marketing endeavors for the Monaco book, a captivating exhibition featuring a selection of photographs was curated and showcased as a solo spectacle at the prestigious Fahey Klein Gallery in Los Angeles. Additionally, a highly successful Kickstarter campaign was launched, broadening Jesse Alexander’s appeal across generational divides and securing widespread acclaim for these collaborative efforts.
In light of Jesse Alexander’s recent passing, these projects will undoubtedly serve to preserve his legacy and continue to inspire future generations.
